ALL-TIME BEST EV SALES FOR KIA AMERICA IN APRIL
Continuing its push toward sustainable mobility leadership, the all-new EV9 delivered its best sales performance to date in April and Kia America shattered its all-time monthly EV sales record, increasing 61-percent over the previous record set in April 2022 total. Kia sold 65,754 units in April, with SUVs accounting for 81-percent of the mix.
KIA AMERICA ANNOUNCES 2025 K5 PRICING
Kia announced pricing for the new 2025 K5 midsize sedan, which features a new-for-K5 2.5-liter normally aspirated engine, updated design cues inside and out, drivetrain refinements and numerous tech upgrades across four trim levels: LXS, GT-Line (in front- or all-wheel drive), EX and the hot-blooded turbocharged GT.
KIA AMERICA DELIVERS SECOND-HIGHEST FIRST QUARTER SALES IN COMPANY HISTORY
Kia America delivered its second-highest first quarter sales total in company history, capped by March sales of 69,472 units. Sales of electrified models in March grew 9% compared to the previous year. Specifically, EVs saw a significant increase of 151% over the previous year. Sales of the entire utility lineup increased by 9% compared to the previous year and accounted for 79% of total sales.
KIA AMERICA REPORTS FEBRUARY SALES
Kia America closed February with sales of 59,059 units. Sales of Kia’s EV models continued to climb, up 65-percent year-over-year through February with the ongoing launch of the award winning EV9 3-row EV SUV.

Coming off the highest annual sales volume in company history in 2023, Kia America delivered 51,090 units in January with growth across the brand’s SUV, utility, EV and electrified vehicle offerings.
KIA AMERICA REPORTS ALL-TIME BEST ANNUAL SALES
December sales of 60,275 units capped the best-ever fourth quarter for fast-growing Kia America and wrapped the greatest annual performance in company history. Kia’s 2023 total of 782,451 units was up 13-percent year-over-year and 12-percent over the previous record set in 2021. Notably, Kia’s retail sales surged 11-percent in 2023 with 725,817 units purchased through Kia dealers nationwide.
BEST-EVER NOVEMBER SALES SENDS KIA AMERICA PAST ITS ALL-TIME ANNUAL RECORD IN UNDER ELEVEN MONTHS
Kia America announced best-ever November sales of 58,338 units, an increase of 3-percent over the same period last year. The record month propelled Kia past its previous record for total annual U.S. sales in under 11 months – with 722,176 vehicles sold with one month remaining in 2023 – and marked the brand’s 16th consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth.
KIA AMERICA CONTINUES TO “ACCELERATE THE GOOD” WITH YEAR END FUNDRAISING DRIVE & CREATIVE CAMPAIGN FOR ST. JUDE CHILDREN’S RESEARCH HOSPITAL
For the second consecutive year, Kia America will support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with a donation for each new eligible Kia vehicle sold, or leased, and delivered in the U.S. between November 16, 2023 and January 2, 2024. The minimum $1,500,000 donation is part of Kia’s ongoing support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through it’s “Accelerate the Good” charitable initiative. Last year, Kia donated $1.35 million and was named the 2023 St. Jude New Corporate Partner of the Year.
KIA AMERICA POSTS HIGHEST OCTOBER SALES IN COMPANY HISTORY
Kia America, continuing its streak of year-over-year growth for 15 consecutive months, achieved an all-time high October sales record with 59,164 units sold, despite a decrease in business days compared to the previous year. Kia's EV models saw a year-over-year increase of 83-percent, with the EV6, in particular, setting an all-time October sales record, surging by 30-percent compared to the same month the previous year.
KIA AMERICA SETS NEW RECORD FOR SALES THROUGH FIRST NINE MONTHS OF THE YEAR
Kia America announced its best-ever third quarter sales total of 210,341 units. This achievement marks the third time in company history in which Kia’s quarterly sales passed the 210,000 unit mark. These record-breaking sales performances contributed to Kia’s best-ever total through nine months of 604,674 units.

Building on the momentum created by best-ever first half sales, Kia America set an all-time July record of 70,930 units, up 14-percent over the same period last year and breaking the previous record set in July 2021. Kia’s retail sales in July totaled 66,485, an increase of 13-percent year-over-year.
KIA AMERICA POSTS BEST-EVER FIRST HALF SALES IN COMPANY HISTORY
Continuing momentum from 2022’s record retail sales, Kia America set an all-time first half volume record of 394,333 vehicles, up 18-percent over the first-half of 2022. Kia’s retail-only sales total for the past six months was 362,933, an increase of 17-percent over the first half of 2022. Kia closed the month of June with 70,495 total units, an 8-percent increase over the same period last year, marking the 11th straight month of year-over-year sales growth.
KIA AMERICA EARNS HIGHEST NUMBER OF J.D. POWER U.S. INITIAL QUALITY AWARDS IN THE INDUSTRY
Kia America took home the highest number of J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study awards for a brand in the J.D. Power 2023 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS). Four Kia nameplates took segment-best honors this year: Rio (Small Car), Forte (Compact Car), Stinger (Midsize Premium Car) and Carnival (Minivan). This is the fifth consecutive win for the Kia Forte in the Compact Car segment, making Kia the only brand to earn a J.D. Power Award in this segment for five years running.
KIA AMERICA’S GROWTH CONTINUES WITH TENTH STRAIGHT YEAR-OVER-YEAR MONTHLY SALES INCREASES
Fast-growing Kia America continues its hot streak as the brand posted total May sales of 71,497 units, marking the second-highest monthly sales total in company history and the tenth consecutive month of year-over-year sales increases. Sales of retail units in May totaled 65,197, marking an increase of 21-percent year-over-year, with combined sales increasing by 23-percent. Several models posting double- and even triple-digit sales increases, including: Seltos (+171-percent); Stinger (+102-percent); Carnival (+80-percent); Soul (+45-percent); Telluride (+35-percent); Sportage (+24-percent) and Sorento (+13-percent). May sales were driven by Kia’s lineup of capable SUVs, which increased 35-percent year-over-year and accounted for 74-percent of the brand’s total volume. The Sportage, Telluride and Seltos models also set best-ever May sales records, up 17-, 29- and 39-percent, respectively, over each model’s previous record-setting May performances set in 2021. In addition, Seltos set an all-time monthly sales record with sales up 15-percent over the previous best-ever monthly sales performance set by the model in March 2021. Sales of Kia’s electrified models set a new May record – posting a 33-percent increase over May 2022 – and a new any-month record up by 4-percent over the previous record which was set just last month. Sales of the all-electric Kia EV6 also set a new May sales record, increasing 7-percent over May 2022. In addition, overall sales of the model increased 80-percent over last month thanks in part to a marketing campaign and competitive lease program.
